Lesya TSURENKO: “Vekic hit hard, so I always played defense”
Ukrainian tennis player Lesya Tsurenko (WTA 43) commented on the victory in the quarter-final match of the WTA 500 tournament in Zhengzhou (China) Donna Vekic (Croatia, WTA 21):
“It was definitely a great match for me. It was also a tough match because my opponent was punching very hard, so I played defense almost all the time. I tried to do my best and fought for every point until the end.”
