All matches of the 1/8 final of the challenging WTA 250 series tournament held in Hong Kong on October 12 have ended.
In the first round, top seed Victoria Azarenka completed her performance and withdrew from the match against Leila Fernnades.
The Canadian representative defeated Dayana Yastremskaya’s attacker Mirra Andreeva in the 2nd round. Next, Leila will play against Linda Frugvirtova, who closes Alina Korneeva.
Beatriz Haddad Maya, who took second place, lost to Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova in the 1/8 final. Katerina Sinyakova, Elise Mertens and Martina Trevisan, who were at the bottom of the group, also advanced to the quarter-finals.
