Without Ukrainians. Semi-final pairings of the WTA 500 tournament held in Zhengzhou have been determined
Quarter-final matches were held in the challenging WTA 500 series tournament held in Zhengzhou (China) on October 13.
Ukraine’s second player, Angelina Kalinina, lost to Zheng Qingwen in two sets. Next, the Chinese will meet Jasmine Paolini, who won against Laura Siegemund.
Another Ukrainian, Lesya Tsurenko, lost the 1st set to Barbora Krejcikova and withdrew from the match due to her injury. Czech Republic will face Daria Kasatkina in the semi-finals. Daria was supposed to take the field against Ons Jabeur in the 3rd round of the tournament, but the Tunisian representative withdrew from the competition due to a knee injury.
