The 1993 Roland Garros winner in mixed doubles, Andrei Olkhovsky, believes that Russian tennis player Andrei Rublev showed a high level of play in the semi-finals of the Masters series tournament in Shanghai.

On Saturday, Rublev reached the final of the tournament in China, beating Bulgarian Grigor Dimitrov in the semi-final match with a score of 7:6 (9:7), 6:3.

— I said from the beginning that Andrey is the favorite for me in this match. The first set was quite nervous and exhausting, but Rublev played well in the tiebreaker. The match was interesting and the quality of tennis was high. Andrey is now playing consistently, so for me he was a favorite,” Olkhovsky is quoted as saying by “Championship.”

In the final, Rublev “Masters” will play with Pole Hubert Hurkacz.
