ATP ranking Hubert Hurkacz on the verge of the top 10

(Paris) The Pole Hubert Hurkacz, winner in Shanghai of his second Masters 1000, climbs to the gates of the top 10 (11^e+6) of an ATP ranking still dominated by the Serbian Novak Djokovic, ahead of the Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz and the Russian Daniil Medvedev.

By picking up the 7^e title of his career on Sunday, Hurkacz, 26, is getting closer to his best ranking (9^e) and can still hope to qualify for the Turin Masters, which will bring together the eight best players in the world in a month.

Although beaten by the Pole in the final, the Russian Andrey Rublev also took advantage of his good week to reach 5^e world rank (+2) and get a little closer to Turin, the last objective of the season, he said.

(Auckland) Jakub Mensik, third seed, hammered 18 aces on Saturday and defeated Argentina’s Sebastián Báez 6-3, 7-6 (7) in the final of the Auckland tournament.
