Russian tennis player Karen Khachanov failed to overcome the first round barrier at the tournament in Tokyo.
At the start of the tournament, Khachanov, who received the seventh seed, lost to Alexei Popyrin from Australia with a score of 4:6, 2:6. The meeting lasted 1 hour 32 minutes.
Popyrin’s next opponent will be Chilean Cristian Garin.
