Russian tennis player Aslan Karatsev reached the second round at the ATP 500 tournament in Tokyo.
At the start of the tournament, world No. 50 Karatsev defeated No. 14 ATP world ranking American Francis Tiafoe, who received the sixth seed, with a score of 6:3, 7:6 (7:4). The meeting lasted 1 hour 39 minutes.
The Russian’s opponent in the second round will be the winner of the pair Zhang Chichen (China) – Hubert Hurkacz (Poland).
