Tsurenko confidently beat Parrisas Diaz in the quarterfinals of the tournament in Tunisia
Ukraine’s third racket Lesya Tsurenko (WTA 34) safely defeated Spanish tennis player Nuria Parrisas Diaz (WTA 135) in the quarter-finals of the WTA 250 Jasmin Open tournament held in Tunisia.
In two sets and a game lasting just over an hour, Tsurenko lost only five games. This was the first time Ukrainian and Spanish tennis players met with each other.
In the semi-finals, Lesya Tsurenko will face first seed Jasmine Paolini, who beat Lucia Bronzetti in two sets with scores of 7:5 and 7:6 (7:3) in the Italian derby.
