President of the Italian Tennis and Padel Federation (FITP) Angelo Binaghi He is unhappy with the postponement of the ATP NextGen tournament and the holding of new tournaments in Saudi Arabia.

“I am trying to convince Gaudenzi, the president of the ATP, that tennis is not like other sports. Saudi Arabia may be an attractive market, but situations like ours need to be protected. There is no need to fear that Saudi Arabia will create a parallel tour, as in golf. And I hope that the ATP will open in January 2025 “The Masters in Saudi Arabia, perhaps together with the WTA 1000 tournament, will be enough to satisfy their passion for tennis. The season will start there; a revolution, of course. But the finals should stay here,” Binagi said.

Let us remind you that the last ATP tournament of this season will be held in Turin, Italy, between 12-19 November, and the NextGen tournament will be held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, between 28 November-2 December.
