Sakkari: Drop of three places for Maria in the world rankings
Maria Sakkari lost three places in the world rankings and is now at number 9. Big rise for Martha Matoula.
The new WTA world rankings have been announced, which include numerous re-evaluations. Maria Sakkari was among the losers after losing three places and falling to 9th.
From then on, Despina Papamichail dropped three places and is ranked 219th, followed by Valentini grammaropoulou at 235th and Sappho Sakellaridis at 273rd.
The biggest increase among the Greek athletes was recorded by Martha Matoula, who won 17, achieved 310 points and is about to enter the top 300.
Dimitra Pavlou is at number 434, Michaela Laki at number 516 and Eleni Christofi at number 702.
