Stefanos Tsitsipas will face a familiar opponent in the first round of the Erste Bank Open, as Dominic Thiem is on the way.
Before Stefanos Tsitsipas’ celebrations after winning the first doubles with his brother Petros in Antwerp, the Greek tennis player throws himself into the fight for the Erste Bank Open in Vienna.
His opponent in the first round of the 500th tournament is Dominic Thiem (No. 99 in the world rankings) and their match will be the third on Center Court and will therefore start at the earliest at 6:30 p.m. and will be broadcast live by COSMOTE Sport 6. Before that Francis Tiafoe will compete in this place with Daniel Evans.
Tsitsipas will face the Austrian for the eleventh time, with the two tennis players having won five times each. For Stefanos it is the fourth participation in the Vienna tournament. In the previous three games he was eliminated in the second round.
