Tsitsipas: Against Machacs for a place in the Vienna quarter-finals
Stefanos Tsitsipas will face Tomas Machats in the “16” phase of the Vienna tournament with the aim of qualifying for the quarter-finals.
Stefanos Tsitsipas won a 2-0 set against Dominic Thiem with all his might and moved into the second round of the Vienna tournament.
In the next round, the 25-year-old Greek (No. 7 in the world rankings) will face Tomas Makhats, who previously defeated Aleksandar Vukic 6-3. 6-1.
This will be the first match between the two tennis players. The 23-year-old Czech is ranked 74th in the world, his highest ever, although he has yet to win a title in his career.
Stefanos Tsitsipas’ match against Tomas Makhats is expected to take place on Thursday, with the winner meeting the winner of Tommy Paul’s clash with the winner of the Karachev-Goyo pairing in the quarter-finals.
