Novak Djokovic baptized his two children Stefan and Tara in an Orthodox monastery in Montenegro.

Serbian tennis legend Novak Djokovic’s relationship with religion is well known and whenever he has the opportunity he refers to his Orthodox faith. Now the winner of 24 Grand Slams has named his two children.

The tennis player chose to Saint Basil’s Monastery in Ostrog, Montenegro, to baptize his two children. Their ages may be surprising since Stefan is 9 and Tara is 6, but it’s common for parents to wait until their children are adults to understand exactly what’s going on.

The children’s godfather was Neven Markovic, a former soccer player who also traveled through Greece on behalf of Corfu and is a childhood friend of Djokovic.
