Battle of the entertainers. Monfils lost to Tiafoe after taking two medical timeouts in Vienna

Midway through the second game, Gael took the first medical timeout. After completing the set, he called the doctor a second time.
This was the third meeting of tennis players. Tiafoe won game 2.
Francis will face second seed Jannik Sinner in the quarter-finals.
Due to this defeat, Gael ended their 6-match winning streak. Previously, Elina Svitolina’s husband won the ATP 250 tournament in Stockholm.
