Belarusian tennis player Aryna Sabalenka started the WTA Final Tournament in Cancun with a confident victory over Maria Sakkari.
The first racket of the world dealt with her opponent from Greece in two games, giving up only one game in total. The match lasted 1 hour 14 minutes, Sabalenka had 6 aces and 5 double faults.
In another match of the group, the representative of Kazakhstan Elena Rybakina lost to the American Jessica Pegula.
In the second round, Pegula will play Sabalenka, Rybakina and Sakkari will meet each other.
