Finalist of RG 2023 in doubles. Starodubtseva’s Midland rival has been announced
Ukrainian tennis player Yulia Starodubtseva (WTA 172) recognized her opponent in the 1/16 final of the WTA 125 series tournament played on closed hard courts in Midland (USA).
In the 2nd round the Ukrainians will play against Taylor Townsend (USA, WTA 66), beaten at the beginning of the competition Raluku Georgjanu Sherban (Cyprus, WTA 165) in three sets in 1 hour 53 minutes.

Townsend reached the Roland Garros final in doubles in 2023. There is also a doubles final match at the 2022 US Open.
Julia and Taylor have never played each other before.
In the 1/16 final of the tournament in Midland, Julia won against Sophie Chang.
