Medvedev lost to Dimitrov and ended his performance at the tournament in Paris

Russian tennis player Daniil Medvedev failed to reach the third round of the Masters series tournament in Paris.

In the second round, he lost to the representative of Bulgaria, Grigor Dimitrov, in three sets – 3:6, 7:6 (7:4), 6:7 (2:7). The meeting lasted 2 hours and 55 minutes.

The Russian tennis player was also given a warning during the match. In the second set, with the score 5:5, the 27-year-old Russian refused to serve because of the whistling from the stands. Medvedev tried several times to reach the back line, but the spectators began to make noise again. The tennis player told the referee in French that he would not play until the crowd stopped whistling.

Dimitrov’s opponent in the next round will be Alexander Bublik from Kazakhstan.
