This was the 10th meeting of tennis players. Grigor won the 3rd head-to-head match.
While French fans gave special support to Grigor throughout the match, Medvedev expressed his dissatisfaction with the fans’ behavior.
After the meeting ended, Daniil showed his middle finger to the French public. At a press conference, the “neutral tennis player” said that he only looked at his nails:
“Middle finger? No, I just looked at the nail from this angle. Why would I do this to these beautiful people of Paris?”
In the 1/8 final of the Masters in Paris, Dimitrov will play against Alexander Bublik.
