Russian tennis player Daniil Medvedev said that at the ATP tournament in Paris he felt more comfortable performing in front of empty stands.
Russian tennis player Daniil Medvedev showed the middle finger to the spectators in the stands after losing to Bulgarian Grigor Dimitrov at the Masters series tournament in Paris. Medvedev lost in the second round match with a score of 3:6, 7:6 (7:4), 6:7 (2:7) and ended his participation in the tournament.
— Actually, I have many French friends. They don’t seem to like this tournament very much, perhaps for good reason. Here, in general, I play better when there are no spectators in the stands,” Medvedev said at a press conference after the match.
