(Paris) World No.4 Jannik Sinner, qualified at past two-thirty in the morning the previous night, withdrew before his round of 16 against Australian Alex de Minaur scheduled for Thursday afternoon at the Masters 1000 in Paris, announced the tournament.
The young Italian (22 years old) cited his state of “fatigue” to justify his decision. Sinner’s return to the Parisian court was expected just over 14 hours after his victory in the night at the expense of the American Mackenzie McDonald (42e) 6-7 (6/8), 7-5, 6-1.
