Djokovic almost lost. 1/4 final pairs determined at the Masters in Paris
The 1/8 final matches of the ATP 1000 series tournament, played on closed hard surfaces, took place in Paris (France) on November 2.
First seed Novak Djokovic came very close to defeat against Tallon Griekspor. The Dutch representative won their first match against the Serbian and had 2 hidden match points in the 9th match on Novak’s serve in the second match, but failed to convert them. As a result, Djokovic broke the tie and took the 2nd set and defeated Grikspor 6:4 in the 3rd set.
4th seed Jannik Sinner withdrew from the tournament. He was supposed to play against Alex de Minaur.
Last year’s Paris Masters champion Holger Rune beat Daniel Almayer in two sets. Then in 2022 he will play against Djokovic, whom he defeated in the final match on the Bercy court.
World number 6 Stefanos Tsitsipas defeated Alexander Zverev. For the Greeks, this is the first victory against the top 10 representatives of the season.
