Sabalenka reached the semi-finals of the WTA Finals, where she will play against Szwiatek

Belarusian tennis player Arina Sabalenka beat Kazakhstan’s Elena Rybakina in the match of the third round of the group stage of the WTA Final Tournament, which takes place in Cancun, Mexico.

The meeting of the “Bakalar” group ended with a score of 6:2, 3:6, 6:3 in favor of the first racket of the world. The meeting lasted 2 hours 27 minutes.

Sabalenka, with two wins in three games, took second place in the group and reached the semifinals of the tournament, the first was American Jessica Pegula (three wins). Rybakina was in third place and did not make it to the playoffs.

In the Chetumal group, Iga Šwiętek, who won all three matches, and Corey Gauff (two wins) advanced to the playoffs. The Polish woman beat Tunisia’s Ons Jabeur on Friday – 6:1, 6:2, the American defeated Marketa Vondrousova from the Czech Republic – 5:7, 7:6 (7:4), 6:3.

Sabalenka will play against Schwiatek in the semifinals, Pegula will play against Gauff.
