Rublev lost to Djokovic in the semi-finals of the Masters in Paris

Russian tennis player Andrei Rublev failed to reach the final of the Masters series tournament in Paris.

In the semi-final match, the 26-year-old Russian, ranked fifth in the ATP rankings, lost to the world number one, Serbian Novak Djokovic. Rublev took the first set, but then lost his advantage in the fight against a more titled opponent. The Russian finished the match with a double fault. The tennis players spent three hours on the court.

The score of personal meetings between Djokovic and Rublev became 5–1 in favor of the Serbian tennis player.

Djokovic’s opponent in the decisive game of the Masters in Paris will be Bulgarian tennis player Grigor Dimitrov, who beat Greek Stefanos Tsitsipas earlier on Saturday. For the 36-year-old Serb, this will be the seventh ATP singles final this season.
