Elina SVITOLINA: “This is terrible for our sport”
Ukrainian tennis player Elina Svitolina shared her views on the conditions under which the 2023 WTA Final Tournament is currently taking place.
Let us also remind you that the eight best tennis players of the year faced each other in Cancun (Mexico). Even before the start of the tournament, the Women’s Tennis Association had come under criticism for choosing Mexico to organize the competition.
“I saw that the court was not ready. And I don’t know why the WTA wants to hold the tournament in Cancun. It’s a shame that the eight best players in the world are competing in these conditions. To be honest, this is very bad for our sport,” Svitolina said.
