“Guys, thank you for supporting us. Even though this week wasn’t easy, you made it special for us.
Jess, I want to congratulate you on a successful season. Playing against you has never been easier. I hope we can both make progress and play many more finals together.
I want to thank my family and team. My father is here… Thank you for coming and supporting. The team that has been with me all season. We’ve had many ups and downs. This is definitely an uptick,” Iga said.
At the WTA Finals, Swiatek defeated Jessica Pegula in straight sets.
