Swiatek returned to first place in the WTA rankings after winning the Finals
Polish tennis player Iga Szwiatek returned to first place in the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) rankings.
On Monday, Szwiatek won the WTA Finals in Cancun, Mexico, beating American Jessica Pegula 6:1, 6:0 in the final.
Belarusian tennis player Aryna Sabalenka dropped to second place in the ranking, while American Cori Gauff retained third place.
The best of the Russians, Lyudmila Samsonova, improved her position by one place and rose to 16th place.
