Bandosa’s response to those who accuse her of damaging Tsitsipas’ career

Paula Bandosa, in an interview she gave to the Spanish newspaper “El País”, mentioned how much she is affected by the comments of the world that want her to destroy the sports career of Stefanos Tsitsipas and by the support she gives to the Greek Tennis has given players all the time.

“It hurt me incredibly because during my injury I spent all my time supporting him. We both love tennis and Stefanos works very hard. We agree on the goals we have set for ourselves. We talk all the time about tennis and help each other.

As you have seen, I went to games to support him or to the gym to help him, always having respect for his team and his people. He also supported me through my injury and when we read all of this, it touches us.

At certain moments, people don’t seem to understand that what they write and say affects a relationship or yourself. I understand that we are public figures, but at the end of the day we are two 25 year olds with sensibilities.

It’s just a relationship that grows and people say things that are very serious because they destroy careers. Careers of people who have dedicated their lives to what they do. “It’s not humane what they’re doing.”
