Russian tennis player Alexander Shevchenko made it to the quarterfinals of the ATP tournament in Metz, beating Hungarian representative Mate Walkus.
The three-set second round match lasted 1 hour 44 minutes and ended with Shevchenko winning with a score of 7:5, 2:6, 6:2. The Russian scored 6 aces, making 2 double faults.
The quarter finals of the tournament will feature a Russian duel between Shevchenko and Karen Khachanov, who defeated Frenchman Constant Lestienne earlier on Wednesday.
