Arancia RUS: “I know Ukrainian tennis players well, it will not be easy”

Number one of the Dutch national team Arancha RussianThe player, who won the first WTA 250 tournament of her career this year, talked about how the victory in Hamburg affected her self-confidence.

The Billie Jean King Cup play-off round match will be played between Ukrainian and Dutch teams on 11-12 November.

“This victory gave me a lot of confidence. I think I had one of the best seasons of my career. I will work hard to end this year with a victory in Vilnius. I know Ukrainian tennis players well. I have met almost all of them in various tournaments, we often train together. This is a very good team and it won’t be easy for us here,” the Russian said.

Note that Russia played 33 matches with the Ukrainians and won 13 of them, but in a difficult situation the statistics are noticeably worse – 4 wins and 9 losses. Overall, Arancia has beaten Kalinina once, lost to Yastremskaya once, and also has a 1-1 record in her matches with Zavacka.

The match will be played at SEB Arena in Vilnius on 11-12 November.
