Shevchenko may surprise Khachanov at the tournament in Metz, Chesnokov believes

Former world number nine in singles, winner of seven ATP titles, Andrei Chesnokov spoke about the upcoming match between compatriots Alexander Shevchenko and Karen Khachanov in the quarterfinals of the ATP 250 tournament in Metz.
Khachanov and Shevchenko have not played each other before. Karen is now the 15th racket in the world, and Alexander is 63rd in the ranking.
— Shevchenko already surprised me when he beat Fritz. Alexander can surprise Karen because he plays well against players higher in rating than him. Of course, Karen is the favorite, but it will be very difficult for him in this match. Khachanov will need to show something to beat Shevchenko. “Karen won’t have it easy,” Chesnokov is quoted as saying by “Championship.”
The Shevchenko-Khachanov match is scheduled for the second start on the center court on Thursday and will begin no earlier than 16:00 Moscow time.
