The format of the ATP finals
The eight best tennis players of the season were divided into two groups, Green and Red, one led by Novak Djokovic and the other by Carlos Alcaraz, the two main favorites of the event according to the ATP rankings.
The two tennis players who win the most matches in the group (in case of a tie, the tie is broken by results between them, percentage of sets won, percentage of matches won or ATP ranking) advance to the semi-finals, such as the final and the group stage matches, They will be played in best of three sets.
Each win in the group stage gives 200 ATP ranking points, a win in the semi-finals gives 300 points and a win in the final gives 500 points. This is someone who is crowned undefeated champion can add 1500 points.
