ATP Masters Djokovic faces Sinner, Tsitsipas and Rune

(Turin) World No.1 Novak Djokovic will be pitted in the red group of the ranking phase of the ATP Masters which begins on Sunday in Turin (Italy) against the Italian Jannik Siner, the Greek Stefanos Tsitsipas and the Dane Holger Rune, according to the draw carried out on Thursday.

Djokovic, defending champion, is the big favorite for his own succession after winning the Masters 1000 in Paris last Sunday, his sixth title of the year.

The Serbian, aged 36, will aim for a seventh coronation, synonymous with a new record, in the tournament which pits the eight best players of the year against each other.

The other group with world No.2 Carlos Alcaraz at the head of the bill and the German Alexander Zverev, has a very Russian sound with Daniil Medvedev and Andrey Rublev.

Russian tennis player Mirra Andreeva made it to the finals of the WTA 500 tournament in Adelaide (Australia).

Andreeva (3rd seed) beat compatriot Diana Schneider (9) in the semifinals with a score of 6:3, 6:2. The tennis players spent 1 hour and 24 minutes on the court.

Andreeva will compete for the title with Canadian Victoria Mboko (8th seed), who beat Australian Kimberly Birrell in her semi-final.

Victoria Mboko did not last long on the field in the semi-final of the Adelaide tournament, Friday in Australia.

The 19-year-old Canadian defeated local favorite Kimberly Birrell in just 59 minutes of play, 6-2, 6-1.

Mboko, 17^e player in the world, slammed eight aces against none for her opponent, 107^e world racket.

In the final, the Torontonian will face the winner of the other semi-final, which pits Russian Mirra Andreeva, third seed, against her compatriot Diana Schnaider.

The duel was short-lived, since Mboko was never broken and she only offered a break point to her opponent, who was unable to take advantage of it.

Thanks to this victory, Mboko will climb to at least 16^e world ranking following the tournament. A victory in the final would allow him to enter the top 15.

This competition in Adelaide serves as preparation for the Australian Open, which will take off on Sunday. In the first round, Mboko will face Australian Emerson Jones, 155^e player in the world.

Quarter-final matches were held in challenging tournaments on January 15 WTA 500 in Adelaide And WTA 250 in Hobart.
