Australian tennis player John Millman (ATP 436) announced his retirement from professional tennis after the 2024 Australian Open:

“All good things must come to an end. I will be retiring from professional tennis after the next Australian season. It has been an incredible journey and I am incredibly grateful to everyone who has supported me throughout my career.

You made everything worthwhile. As a child, I had a dream of playing the game I loved, and it was a great privilege to be able to do it for so long. I can’t wait to see what happens next. I hope I gave you all a reason to support me,” John wrote on Instagram.

Millman has won a championship at the ATP level. Its highest ranking is #33. He reached the quarter-finals of the US Open in 2018.
