Billie Jean King Cup semi-final pairings announced
The Czech women’s tennis team beat the USA in Seville to become the last play-off team in the Billie Jean King Cup Finals.
In the first singles match, Danielle Collins beat Katerina Siniakova (6:3, 6:2), while Marketa Vondrousova easily equalized the score by beating Sofia Kenin (6:1, 6:1). In doubles, Barbora Krejcikova and Katerina Siniakova were stronger than Daniel Collins/Taylor Townsend (6:3, 7:5).
It should be noted that the teams from Slovenia, Italy and Canada had previously guaranteed their participation in the semi-finals.
