The strongest couple in women’s tennis broke up
Titled Czech couple Barbora Krejcikova And Katerina Sinyakova They will not compete together in the 2024 season.
“We agreed not to continue. This was my initiative. I wanted a change. We agreed calmly and of course we are not against meeting again in the future. I think a break will be good for us and we can come back even stronger,” Sinyakova said in an interview with the Czech press.
Krejcikova admitted that this news came as a surprise to her, but supported her choice of partner.
Siniakova and Krejcikova have won 16 tournaments together, including seven Grand Slams, the 2020 Olympics and the 2021 Finals. Each of them reached the top of the couple rating.
Let us remind you that in the Billie Jean King Cup, the Canadian team also lost the decisive match between Sinyakova and Krejcikova in the 1/2 final.
