Ukraine’s first racket Elina Svitolina She talked about the WTA’s (Women’s Tennis Association) attitude towards the war in Ukraine.

“WTA doesn’t want to listen to us. And I think they won’t anymore, even if we don’t give up. And it’s a very sad situation. When the all-out war started, we went to the WTA office and talked to the president of the organization, but nothing was done after that. Then there were a few more meetings, but the war goes on for two years and it’s definitely conscious There is no reaction.

They say they’re doing something there, but it’s very little help. They do not use their platform to support Ukrainians. They have a position where they want to be neutral and equidistant.

It hurts our hearts, Ukrainians, to see such a situation. Our families and people are living under bombardment. And they live in their own kind of bubble and don’t quite understand what’s going on. So we have been very actively involved in this issue. We have already spent a lot of energy writing various letters. We do this all the time,” said Svitolina.

Svitolina recently met with military personnel at the Charter unit.
