ALCARAZ: “They think I should win every tournament, but that’s a mistake”
Spanish tennis player Carlos Alcaraz, the second racket in the world, commented after his victory at Wimbledon 2023 that he could not win even a single championship.
“I try not to think about it. The American series went well. Even if I didn’t win the title, I played a quarter-final, a final against Novak in Cincinnati, in the US Open semi-final. I don’t see it as a failure. Everyone probably thinks I should have won every tournament, but that’s a mistake .
The last few months have been difficult. The Asian tournaments did not go so well. And I’m sad that the season ended this way. But I try not to think about the recent defeats. “I’m trying to take the positives and negatives and use them in training and play better in the remaining matches,” Alcaraz said.
As you know, on November 15, Carlos Alcaraz defeated neutral Andrei Rublev in the ATP Final Tournament.
