The last 3rd round matches of the Red Group in the ATP Final Tournament 2023, which was played indoors on hard ground in Turin (Italy) on November 17, have ended.
world number two Carlos Alcaraz beat in two sets Daniil Medvedevand Alexander Zverev won against Andrey Rublev.
The semi-finalists of this quartet were determined after the fight between Alcaraz and Medvedev. The Spaniard defeated the “neutral tennis player”, who at the time had guaranteed a place in the play-offs, in two sets and reached the semi-finals.
The duel between Zverev and Rublev was purely official. Zverev would only have a chance at the play-offs if he beat Daniil Carlos.
As a result, three tennis players (Alcaraz, Medvedev and Zverev) won 2 each, while the German tennis player ranked 3rd in the worst set record ranking. The four were led by Carlos.
In the semi-finals, Carlitos will face Green Group 2nd place Novak Djokovic, and Medvedev will face Jannik Sinner. The Italian came first in the Green group.
