Former world number nine Andrei Chesnokov believes that Russian Daniil Medvedev and Italian Jannik Sinner have equal chances of winning the semi-finals of the final ATP tournament, which is being held in Turin.
Saturday’s semi-final will begin at 16:30.
– I think that the chances here are equal, 50 to 50. The outcome of the last two matches between Medvedev and Sinner was decided literally in two or three plays, which remained with the Italian. Sinner will play at home with huge support from the crowd. It seems to me that Medvedev should approach this game fresh. He didn’t have grueling matches in this tournament. So he should play well in the semi-finals,” RB Sport quotes Chesnokov.
In total, Medvedev and Sinner played eight matches with each other, in six of which the Russian won.
