Finland unexpectedly knocks Canada out of Davis Cup
The first play-off match of the Davis Cup final tournament took place.
At the quarter-final stage, the Finnish team unexpectedly defeated the reigning champion Canadian team on the indoor hard courts of Malaga.
While the experienced Milos Raonic scored the first point for the North Americans, the Finns won in singles and were more successful in doubles.
The Finnish team will compete with the winner of the Czech Republic-Australia pair in the semi-finals. Suomi had not played at this stage before.
