Italian tennis player and world number 4 Jannik Sinner beat ATP number one Novak Djokovic (Serbia).
The leaders of the Italian and Serbian national teams faced each other in the second match of the semi-finals of the Davis Cup 2023 final section.
Sinner won the first set but Nole won the second set. In the third match, the Serbian tennis player failed to close the Italians, although he had 2 match points in the 10th match, and then lost the remaining 2 matches. Result 7:5.
Thanks to this victory, Sinner moved the Italy-Serbia match to the third doubles match. In the first match, Lorenzo Musetti lost to Miomir Kecmanovic 7:6 (9:7), 2:6, 1:6.
