Sinnkar upset Djokovic once again and took Italy to the 2023 Davis Cup final

The last semi-final match of the Davis Cup 2023 final section, which was played indoors on hard ground in Malaga (Spain), took place on November 25.

The Italian team beat Serbia with a comeback. Everything was decided in the doubles match.

In the first match, Lorenzo Musetti lost to Miomir Kecmanovic in three sets.

In the second one, the leaders of the national teams came together: Jannik Sinner and Novak Djokovic. Yannick saved 2 match points on serve in the 10th game of the 3rd set and then took 2 games in a row to defeat Nole in three games.

In the decisive doubles match, Lorenzo Sonego / Jannik Sinner confidently beat Novak Djokovic / Miomir Kecmanovic. The meeting ended with a score of 6:3 and 6:4.

In the Davis Cup final, Italy will face the Australian team that won against the Finns on 24 November.

Italians reached the final of the team tournament for the first time in 25 years.
