Nick Kyrgios spoke in a television interview about the dark days he went through and fell into depression.
Nick Kyrgios gave a great interview TalkTV, where, among other things, he mentioned the major psychological problems he faced.
The Greek-Australian spoke about his depression and his addiction to self-harm, tellingly saying that he hated himself.
“It was a very dark time. I won two tournaments on tour while drinking every night, hurting myself, burning things on my hand, cutting myself… self-harm became an addiction. I hated myself. I hated walking around being…” Nick. Kyrgios”she said in one of the interview excerpts released as part of her promotion.
In another excerpt, Nick Kyrgios can be heard speaking in the best terms about Andy Murray’s support for him during the difficult times he was going through.
“Andy has always been very supportive. From the moment I went on tour. He saw that there was a lot of talent and a lot to do, so he immediately protected me. After a while he realized that. “I was a player who went his own way, but he remained a person who was always there for me. One day he saw my scars and asked me what they were on my hand.
I was very unwell at the time and obviously Andy was trying to help, but I was very closed off to myself and didn’t realize it. I am grateful to him to this day, thank you for everything he did. he said characteristically.
