Russian Veronika Kudermetova reported that she competed at the Trophies of Northern Palmyra tournament in St. Petersburg with a tape on her thigh because she fell down the stairs.
Kudermetova, representing the Sphinxes team, was defeated by Anastasia Potapova from the Lviv team on Saturday – 5:7, 6:7 (5:7).
— Why was the thigh taped? I don’t want to reveal the whole diagnosis, but it happened yesterday: I fell down the stairs. Yes, yes, I fell down the stairs this morning. I didn’t wake up, it just happened – this is such an unpleasant situation. And this had a bad effect on my leg,” the Championship quoted Kudermetova as saying.
The Northern Palmyra Trophies tournament takes place in St. Petersburg on December 1–3 on the courts of the Arena concert and sports complex in St. Petersburg. Athletes from Russia, Kazakhstan, Spain, Serbia, France, Italy and Bulgaria compete in the team tournament.
