Olympic bronze medalist in tennis, Russian Vera Zvonareva, told how long she plans to continue playing at the professional level.

Zvonareva is 39 years old. The Russian has 12 titles at WTA tournaments in singles and 16 in doubles. She won three Grand Slam tournaments in pairs and reached the final twice in singles.

“I just love playing tennis, it’s been with me all my life.” And I like to perform as long as my schedule allows: between family and acting. I managed. But every year it becomes more and more difficult because of the family. There were injuries and breaks when I spent more time with my family. Then she returned. But I can’t guess how much I’ll play yet: I play from week to week. When I realize that I need to spend more time with my family, I just take a break.

I’m no longer at the age where I need to play all the time. When you’re 18 years old and just starting on the pro tour, you have some obligations and you feel the pressure that you have to constantly perform. I don’t have that – I just play for fun,” Zvonareva told the Championship.
