Swiatek repeated Serena Williams’ success after 10 years
Iga Swiatek, the leader in the world rankings, became the first tennis player to win at least one tournament in every category on the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) tour in the last 10 years.
In 2023, the Polish woman won one Grand Slam tournament, the WTA Final Tournament, one WTA-1000 tournament, two WTA-500 tournaments and one WTA-250 tournament.
Before Swiatek, the last such success was achieved by American tennis player Serena Williams in 2013. She later became the winner of two Grand Slam tournaments, the WTA Final Championships, five ATP-1000 tournaments, two WTA-500 and one WTA-250 tournament.
It was previously known how much prize money Iga Swiatek received for winning the Final Tournament.
