Russian tennis player Vera Zvonareva told which of the Russians she would be pleased to play as a pair in mixed doubles.
— Sometimes I play mixed doubles, but I don’t know, we’ll see. If possible, I will record with someone. I love mixed doubles – it’s a special format. But we have a rare opportunity to play it. A lot of single players don’t play doubles or mixed doubles. It’s especially difficult for the guys at Grand Slam tournaments because of the five-set format—it’s not easy to play extra matches.
Who’s impressive? I always root for our guys. Sometimes they call Andrei Rublev because they think it’s easy to get along with him? I think yes. Andrey is a very nice person. I think it’s always very comfortable to play with him,” the Championship quotes Zvonareva.
