Former world number one Simona Halep has sold her house on the shores of Lake Snagov in Romania, Orange Sport reports.

After selling the property, 32-year-old Halep bought property in Dubai, where she moved permanently. According to the real estate agency’s website, the villa was put up for sale for 4.2 million euros.

In September, the International Tennis Integrity Agency (ITIA) suspended Halep for four years on two counts. The first concerned the result of a doping test for the banned substance roxadustat at the 2022 US Open. The second charge was related to deviations in the biological passport of a Romanian athlete.

Halep topped the WTA rankings for 64 weeks. She won two Grand Slam singles tournaments – the 2018 French Open and 2019 Wimbledon. In total, the Romanian has 24 titles at WTA tournaments.
