Ukrainian tennis player Marta Kostyuk He talked about working with Sandra Zanevskaya.

– We have been working together since July. We had such a natural and positive atmosphere from the very beginning, our chemistry is very good, we understand each other. Even if something is not going well, he supports me, listens and tries to help me in everything. This is great! I’ve never had this kind of connection with a coach before, not even with my mother, because a mother is a mother (laughs). I’d like to see where this collaboration takes us. I hope there are great moments ahead of us. That’s why we keep working.

Why are there so few coaches on the women’s tour? I don’t know, I was always surrounded by women. As I said, my mother educated me. But with male coaches, I feel like if cooperation fails there is always the next player waiting for them. And in the case of female coaches, if there is no success, then as if you cannot prove yourself and another player will not “risk” inviting you to work because everyone is used to male coaches. I would say that in most cases, this toxicity occurs when men and women cooperate. So I’m sorry to see this, I’ve had that experience too. I’d be interested to see what would happen if there were more female coaches on tour. Who knows, maybe it could have gotten worse (laughs).
