This is a lesson in courage that I greatly admire.

2. Separate your difficulties from yourself.

From motherhood to our returns to court, from the pressures of public life to her deep personal connection to the situation in Ukraine, Elina showed me the art of detachment without over-identification. His ability to stay sane in the midst of chaos is simply amazing. One of the things I try to implement in my life is to not take anything personally. If someone criticizes my game or writes something rude about me online, I remind myself that it’s not about me. It’s so simple but helps relieve a stressful situation.

3. Responsibility can be both rewarding and risky.

Especially during my long recovery and the first year of living together with our daughter, Elina showed me that “slowing down” does not mean “slipping.” I’ve learned that when you complete a task with enough focus, even the most boring things, like housework, become enjoyable. “I’ve discovered that being responsible as a player, husband, and father is not only important, but also very cool.”
